reduce your electricity bill

evesta pro

With the Evesta app's Pro features, you can significantly reduce your electricity bill by scheduling your electricity consumption to the cheapest hours of the day according to spot electricity prices. The app also takes weather forecasts into account when heating your home.

Evesta users have reported up to a 50 percent drop in electricity consumption for underfloor heating. Motiva has come to the same conclusion in its calculations: a time-controlled smart thermostat can cut electricity consumption for bathroom underfloor heating by 50 percent.

The Evesta app and Pro features are free.

Evesta thermostat

You can replace your old thermostat with an Evesta thermostat.

Evesta is currently not compatible with other smart home systems.

(Alexa & Google Home integrations are being developed.)

Installation must only be carried out by a qualified electrician. Thermostats are installed in a standard mounting box.

The product can also be used in wet rooms with underfloor heating in apartments or townhouses.

Yes, it can. The product has an enclosure rating of IP21.

The thermostat can be connected to, for example, electric underfloor heating and ceiling heating. It is not directly compatible with standalone radiators.

The appropriate number of thermostats depends on the house and it's structure, but a good rule of thumb is one thermostat per room or area.

Yes! The app is completely free.

The Evesta app lets you optimize heating with compatible thermostats. You can set how many hours per day the thermostat may adjust electricity use up or down, and then define your preferred heating limits. The limits determine how much the heating can deviate from the target temperature.

For example: you can allow the thermostat to heat up to two degrees above the target temperature for three hours a day, and let it drop by up to three degrees for five hours. At all other times, the thermostat operates normally. Savings are achieved by combining this optimization with lower spot electricity prices.

15-minute spot electricity control and absolute price limits

First update the mobile app, and then update the device software (thermostats and switches) via the Firmware Update menu in the app. After that, you can select the 15-minute contract type under the Electricity Cost Optimization menu. If the device software has not been updated, switching to a 15-minute contract will be blocked.

The setting is device-specific and can be found in the Electricity Cost Optimization menu once both the mobile app and the device have been updated. By default, thermostats follow 60-minute control. The device-specific setting allows some devices to use 15-minute control while others continue with 60-minute control. For example, your cottage may have a different electricity contract type than your primary residence.

The thermostat has not been updated.

In general, you should choose the control interval that matches your spot electricity contract. Your electricity supplier or distributor can confirm which type of contract you have. It is also possible to use 60-minute control with a 15-minute contract, for example, to reduce the number of relay switchings. However, using 15-minute control with a 60-minute contract is typically not the most logicial choice,

Yes. The app will continue to offer 60-minute control as an option.

The device will start operating according to 15-minute control intervals.

  • Absolute price limits.
  • Next day’s electricity prices displayed as soon as they are available.
  • Option to apply price configuration changes either immediately or starting the next day.
  • Ability to set the thermostat to “Turn off heating" mode.
  • Display of the thermostat’s integrated room sensor value under “Advanced Settings” when the thermostat is in floor-control mode.

With the Caladrius S switch:

When the price of electricity exceeds the set upper limit, the switch remains inactive during the time interval (15 or 60 minutes, depending on the setting). When the price falls below the lower limit, the switch is active during the time interval (15 or 60 minutes, depending on the setting)

When the price of electricity falls below the set lower limit, the switch is active during the time interval (15 or 60 minutes, depending on the setting) When the price falls below the lower limit, the switch is active during the time interval (15 or 60 minutes, depending on the setting).

With thermostats:

When the price exceeds the upper limit, the interval is marked as a “drop temperature” period. The amount of temperature reduction (in degrees) can be set in the Electricity Cost Optimization menu.

When the price falls below the lower limit, the “drop temperature” period is replaced by a “normal temperature” period. The “raise temperature” period remains unchanged.
